Combi boiler installation

Combi boilers supplied and fitted at a fixed price, from £2,289. Choose from 105 combi boilers by 11 makers.

What is a combi boiler?

A combination boiler heats your radiators and gives you hot water straight from the mains, so there is no hot water cylinder and no tanks in the loft. Hot water is heated only when you turn on a tap, which saves space and avoids heating a tank of water you might not use.

Is a combi right for your home?

A combi usually suits you if:

  • you live in a flat or a house with one bathroom
  • you already have a combi and are happy with the hot water
  • you want the space back from a cylinder or airing cupboard

It may not suit you if several people need hot water at the same time, or if your mains water pressure is low. In those cases a system boiler often works better.

Questions about combi boilers

What size combi boiler do I need?

It mainly depends on how much hot water you use at once. As a rough guide, a 24 to 28 kW combi suits a flat or small house with one bathroom, 30 to 35 kW suits a larger home with one main bathroom, and 36 kW and above suits a bigger home with a bath and a separate shower. The boiler finder sizes it from your answers.

Can a combi boiler run two showers at once?

A combi heats water as you use it, so running two outlets at once shares the flow between them. If your home often runs two showers together, a system boiler with a cylinder is usually the better choice.

Can I keep my boiler in the same place?

Yes, and it is the lowest price. If you want it moved, the finder adds a fixed price: £1,095 for a new position in the same room, or £1,294 for another room such as a kitchen or utility room.
